Zion the Wild Mustang
In the 2022 documentary film called Wild Beauty, by Ashley Avis tiny Zion can be seen running from capture in a massive roundup by the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at 1 month of age.

Zion and his mother were rescued after that capture. The pair were allowed to live instead of being sold to buyers outside the United States for slaughter.
As of 2024 Zion and his mother, Zephyra, live safely under the care of their Human advocate, Susan. Zion and his mother live in community with other humans and horses.

Zion needed to become a calm, confident, independent gelding.

The roundup had removed Zion from the natural environment where he would have been able to appropriately ween - emotionally - from his mother. Before Zion and his mother came to be cared for by Susan they had not successfully socialized with humans.

Rearing up, kicking, and biting were behaviors Zion was known to exhibit, which made him unsafe for humans and other horses.
At the age of four Zion the Mustang became Diane's first horse client for Body Code and Emotion Code energy work.
Diane and Zion have had over 50 Body Code/Emotion Code sessions conducted remotely. Many were filmed by Susan and Diane. Diane's Body Code & Emotion Code sessions have helped Zion on his journey.

A few weeks into working with Diane the horse who put fear into humans chose to be kind to a crying human child, and cuddled the girl with his chin.
Other milestones in Zion's journey with Diane:

-
Zion choosing to lay down immediately following a Body Code session with Diane.
-
Zion choosing to jump away from Susan, rather than jumping into Susan, when he spooks while being lead to pasture.
-
Hearing from Susan that Monty Roberts said of Zion "That's a different horse." when coming to see Zion after Diane had done two months of Body Code and Emotion Code sessions with the horse. During this period neither Monty Roberts himself or energy practitioners other than Diane Baren worked with Zion.
